While I have been trying to increase the amount of workouts I have been getting in during the week. Currently I am just counterbalancing all the going out to eat for dinner.
Sunday night-- Sauce
Monday night-- America's Tacos
Tuesday night-- Family dinner at my place for RC's birthday
Wednesday night-- Firebirds with Ali and Adrian
Thursday night-- The Vig with Katie
Friday-- hopefully nothing (maybe grilling at home)
At this rate not only will I need to increase workouts but I will also need to increase my income. But I always have enjoyed the company of getting together with others. So instead I am excited for tonight.... A & A and delicious Firebirds!!!

helpful reminders...
like they always say... your parents are ALWAYS right!! No matter what!! and just in case I tried to think I had it all together on my own, god needed to remind me yesterday that I don't!! Nothing better than a friendly reminder in the voice of your parents.
My day started off like any other day, early morning meeting, working at the office and then Dana called needing to get picked up at the airport. We had been planning for weeks to go have some lunch together since our schedules are so different these days. So after a nice (FREE) lunch at Pita Jungle (free because we were not greeted within the first 10-15 minutes of sitting at our table), we headed to the car to drive Dana home from her long trip. We approached my car and looked at the passenger wheel and the helpful reminder hit me smack in the face. After I shook it off, I started to hear the voices (imagine Mike and Kathy Bailey, "You should've put that AAA card in your wallet or in your car.", "Remember to put that in your wallet in case of an emergency.") Luckily Dana had her AAA card in her wallet (like a responsible adult). We waited an hour or so for AAA to arrive and then headed to discount tires to change my spare. After what seemed to be a relaxing Monday, everything was fixed and we were back in route. I finished off my Monday by dropping Dana off and heading back to Chandler.
Don't worry Mom and Dad, as soon as I got home you know where that AAA card went and I cleaned out my trunk in order to make getting the spare wheel out a little bit easier next time. Tommy and I topped off an eventful Monday and headed to America's Taco Shop for dinner (AMAZING Mexican food, highly recommended).

Go D'Backs!!
Things have been a little bit different without Tommy and Tyler around. Christina from work suggested to go to the D'Backs/Giants game on Friday and of course I jumped at the chance. I checked with Jordan to see if he had any tickets through work and BAM we were lucky enough to get 8 TICKETS!! So we invited a bunch of girls from work (and the one male Brent) and headed straight to happy hour downtown before the game. It was fun not only to have something to look forward too but it was nice to hang out with co workers and NOT talk about work. While I love my job sometimes I do feel like it consumes my life. So I am constantly trying to find a good balance. As always with this bunch, I was crying because I was laughing so hard and the D'Backs won!!! All in all a great night!! (Hopefully that won't be our last game)

Dead beat dog
Someone might have been a little bit tired...She obviously feels the same way I do about my progress reports
Howdy Cade
A few weeks ago we were all able to get together to celebrate Cade Michael at Mirabel. Some of my parents' friends wanted to throw Ali and Adrian a baby shower as soon as they found out a baby was on the way. This shower was nothing short of a booming success. Jennifer and Scott had everything pulled together using a cowboy/Dr. Suess theme. Not only were the food and drinks fantastic but there was even a small blackjack tournament. The person who had the most money at the end of the party won the pot of money (so I thought I would let my brother in law win). There was lots of laughs and wisdom shared to the soon to be parents. Ali and Adrian were more than thankful for all the support and gifts.
Can't wait until June 29th...

Can't go wrong...
with a good dress. The search continues for a dress for Will and Julie's wedding in 5 weeks. There is nothing better than cooking dinner, watching the voice finale and online browsing for dresses. Here are some favorites, mostly found on Nordstroms...

Reflection
While this weekend has flown by... as always...I lay in bed and take some time to reflect on how amazing life can be. There is nothing I like more than time for myself on a Sunday to get ready for yet another crazy work week. Progress reports were due last week and yet I still find myself stressing and working on them. After feeling overwhelmed on Friday I took a deep breath and reminded myself that it was the weekend and a very important weekend. My good friend Tyler moved back home to Ohio today so this weekend was packed with events and many fun memories. We had a good bye dinner on Friday night and then celebrated the boss of bluemedia's (where Tyler works) birthday last night. I was constantly reminded about what good friends I have and as each laugh ended and smile faded, we were reminded that we had less and less time together :-( We all said bye to Tyler this morning and wished him well.
Nothing better than more and more reminders of such great friendships!!
