New York, New York

As the temperature was heating up this spring, we were getting the traveling fever.  Tommy and I quickly realized that besides one wedding in September (in PHX), we have nothing planned.  So we researched and researched and researched some more, and we finally booked a trip to New York in October.
New York was on the top of Tommy's bucket list and since I haven't been since I was in 9th grade, I loved the idea (I may have made a deal that Europe has to be next year or else).

We plan on spending 4 days there and I can't wait for Tommy to experience some fall weather.  Until then we have a lot of planning to do because of course the only activity on our agenda is the Yankee Stadium Tour.  What am I getting myself into...

I want.

#nsale

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, may have got me in a lot of trouble last week but I am completely okay with it.  Andra and I spoiled ourselves and enjoyed a delicious dinner at the Cafe, definitely one of my favorite places to eat.
You really can't beat the Kate Spade line right now... complete trouble.

Sunday Funday

Lucy and I went over to deliver presents to the birthday boy.  It is hard work keeping up with Cade for a few short hours.  And it's really tough being an old doggie, not a young pup.

Girls gone wild

Tommy is away this weekend with my college guy friends, so I decided to cut my hair, hire a cleaning lady and get my eyebrows done.  After a stressful day on Friday, I chopped 4 inches and finally found a lady I can trust to cut my hair.  I am almost back to my original color... can't wait!

These are a few...

of my favorite things in the fish.
The Park
Huckleberry martini's (and Truby's pizza)
Sunsets on lover's beach
My cousin's (and their ASU love), I didn't even ask them to wear it
Cribbage on the deck
More sunsets and a little bit of rain
Fireworks and this guy

We made it!

After a morning of traveling, we made it to Whitefish.  I can't believe we have been coming here every summer for 22 years.  I love mixing it up and I am so happy to share this special place with Tommy so we decided to take him whitewater rafting this year.
It rained the entire time and Tommy got soaked but he can check it off his bucket list.  The weather was perfect minus an aggressive sunburn and there were many giggles when it came to hanging out with Cade.
I already miss this deck view and may have planned another trip with Andra at the end of August.  I just couldn't beat the ticket price, so until then...

Traveling

The only downfall of Whitefish, is there is no direct flight.  We found a fantastic surprise when we landed in the Denver airport.  Denver has Caribou.  I hope to always fly through Denver.
This year we traveled there with Cullen and these two together is always interesting.  This is what I get when  I ask them to smile.  Must be because I was distracting them from watching the world cup.
Two flights later and we are finally able to enjoy the perfect weather.
After a long day of traveling, we ended on the deck with plenty of cocktails.  I can't wait for 8 days of relaxation.  It is definitely well deserved.

Top Golf

When Friday approached we couldn't wait to be on vacation, so we decided to celebrate with a date night with Jamie and Justin.  Top Golf was the top choice and we got there early to beat the rush.
Top Golf was soooo much fun.  We played plenty of games, watched the sunset and may have enjoyed a few pitchers of beer.  It was great to have some time to catch up with Jamie and Justin.  It was the perfect start to vacation and I am sure there will be many more date nights to come.
