Trying something new!

Tommy and I tried a cute little place in Cave Creek for Breakfast on Sunday.  We stayed up at my parents on Saturday night since we were going to a friends house up there for a draft party on Sunday.  Instead of going to the Good Egg or the best place ever Mirabel (their bacon is the best), we decided to just type in breakfast in Cave Creek into the Google search.  We did some research and decided to go to the place with the best reviews.  You know it's a good sign when it's 9am and the parking lot is packed.  Needless to say I would highly recommend is little hidden jem, we will definitely be back.
I think we both also liked it because it reminded us of breakfast places in Whitefish, MT.

Flies be flying

We went to try out the new 7 zip at Whitefish Mountain (Big Mountain).  I've done the 5 zip a few times and thought it might be a waste of money but boy was I wrong.  They changed 3 of the zip lines and we got some AMAZING views of the valley.  I would definitely recommend the 7 zip to anyone coming to visit.  (Zip lining was the highlight of Tommy's day on Saturday)

Last day

It's our last day on vacation and while I am bummed I am a little excited to get home to Lucy. Tommy and I are celebrating the big 4 months today so we went and got a quick breakfast (coffee and donuts) and enjoyed them on the patio. Perfect way to enjoy our last day on vacation.
Congrats to my mom and dad, 34 years this week!!
And Tommy's parents will be 32 years next week!!

Glacier National Park

A sign of a great vacation is when you can convince your guests to stay for more days.  We convinced our cousins to stay a few more days so we made sure to head to Glacier National Park.  Tommy, Becky and Adrian had never been before so we decided to do our favorite day hike at Avalanche Lake.  It was another gorgeous day with a little workout and some wildlife.  We topped off our day with a Huckleberry Shake and lunch at Quickee's, then we were off to cruise in the sunshine on the boat.

The Boat Club

After a perfect day zip-lining and relaxing on the lake we tried to see if we could top a fantastic day off with a great dinner.  So Tommy and I went to meet up with some college friends.  Will and Julie just happened to be in town and wanted to try some beers so we thought we would start off the night with a sampler at Black Star Brewery.
The boys loved trying a little bit of each beer while Julie and I just stuck with our favorites (Amber for Julie, Hefe for me).  After a few drinks we decided that it would be a good idea to head for dinner on the patio at the Boat Club.  Since this is a family favorite we were sure to get boat club chips with bleu cheese and a pepperoni pizza.  It was nice to enjoy great company, food and a beautiful sunset.  (We will definitely go again due to Tommy's request)

Making moves

So day 1 of vacation is complete and it was a fantastic first day (it is hard not to be fantastic here).  We went zip-lining yesterday morning (pictures are soon to come) and then headed on the lake for boating, beers and paddle boarding.  For dinner we met up with college friends (Will and Julie) and had a delicious dinner at the Boat Club.  But during all this fun we (or shall I say Cullen) managed to make it even more exciting by finally proposing to Becky.  Luckily Ali was being a spy photographer in order to catch it on film.  Congrats to Becky and Cullen!!!  Couldn't be happier to get a sister in law.

Jealous

We are definitely a little bit jealous here in Phoenix.  Getting our daily update of pictures from those who are already enjoying vacation.  While jealous is usually used in a negative sense, I am using it in excited manner.  While I am jealous of everything they are doing I just get more and more excited about what I will be doing in a few short hours.
Is it a bad sign when your just looking forward to sitting on the plane and reading, let vacation begin!!!

Lulu Love!

You can never have enough work out gear, especially when you are working out often.  I mean there has got to something fun to look forward to at 6am.  After talking to a good friend from home today she mentioned that I was checking in regularly to Pilates and she was looking forward to seeing my 6 pack.  Hahahaha not so much but definitely getting in shape Jess!! :-)
Just trying to check in 10 times this month on Facebook in order to get $15 off my monthly membership, talk about motivation.

Nothing better than a little Lululemon browsing online in order to get vacation started...
TGIF, enjoy your weekend!!  I know we will be, 18 hours till vacation time!

Big spender

Normally I don't like shopping at Kohls (it is too cluttered) but last Saturday Tommy, Becky and I tried to hit up some sales.  We headed to the Anthem Outlets and then stopped by Kohls to pick up some last minute vacation clothes for Tommy.  I mean we had some tough decisions... which swimsuit to wear??
After Tommy did a little trying on, and Becky and I answered a survey to get another 30% off we had official hit the jackpot.  Tommy picked up two swimsuits, two shirts and one polo for $42, can't beat that.  Check out our totally savings, we make a good team.

*Side note Baby Mama friends, TONS of cute baby clothes on sale too!*
