and the planning continues.... :-)

So Collyn, Lee and I have been busy getting things together for Jamie's Baby Shower in two weeks. We've been finalizing and re-finalizing lots of plans and of course I am doing my best to keep things kind of a secret.
I finally got that cute package of baby stuff that looks like cupcakes....pretty cute huh?....
and lastly here are the invitations that I worked on and loved every minute of it.

---The Best Kept Secret---

Since I LOVE a good baby or bridal shower I have fallen in love with throwing parties and giving presents. I am reminded again and again how much I enjoy finding something special and unique for the people that I love. I have spent hours searching high and low for the best presents and most of them have led me straight to ETSY.COM. This website is fantastic because everything is handmade and helps support those who are a little (or ALOT) bit crafty. Everyone should check it out when looking for a unique present for someone they love..... and until then feel free to steal these cute ideas from me.

For Bridal Showers.......

Wedding Candles and Poem from Keystone Candles
Custom Personalized Wire Hanger

For Baby Showers.......

Ruffle Diaper Cover Gift Set

(2) Pampers disposable diapers
(1) Pair of warm cotton socks

All this party planning and gift buying has reminded me of how much I LOVE being creative, if only I had more time to do it and was able to effect more people......someday

I love Crate and Barrel

Ali's wedding registry has kept me in LOVE with Crate & Barrel. I just can't help myself but drop in and see what's new. Here are a few things that are just so fun.......
someday my kitchen will be fun, maybe when I am able to use all this fun stuff.

A Lazy Saturday

It's a rainy cold day in Arizona and who could have guessed the weekend would end up this way, but I have enjoyed some relaxing creative time. I have been making invitations for Jamie's Baby Shower and have LOVED every minute of it. I have forgotten how much I love being creative and making things (kind of made me miss scrapbooking). Also I received the most thoughtful thank you card in the mail today and it reminded me to blog about last weekend. Last weekend Kyle, Lucy and I headed up to my parents on Friday night. Lindsey (Ali's best friend from high school) was in town so we all headed to Harold's for a little Friday night entertainment and it was definitely entertaining to say the least. Saturday we woke up and the boys went golfing while the ladies headed to a fantastic bridal shower for Ali. The shower was held at my mom's friend's house. The shower was simply fantastic and we had a great time enjoying hermosa's, playing games and eating some great food.
We played the Newlywed game and people wrote out date card ideas for Ali & Adrian:-)
Thanks again Amber for throwing such a perfect get together for my deserving sister!

Nicholas and Sarah get married!

The wedding season is over for now, THANK Goodness!! I am exhausted and was starting to get a little worn out. A few weekends ago Kyle's Brother (Nicholas) and his fiance Sarah got married. There wedding was a little bit different because it was in a family friend's backyard. There was plenty of time to spend with family and friends and needless to say after a long weekend of entertaining I was ready to relax at my own house :-) Here are some beautiful pictures from the weekend!
