Girls Weekend

This post is long overdue, since a month has almost past since girls weekend, but every time I look at the pictures I am remind how relaxing 30 hours away could be.  When Kristin moved away, and Dana shortly after we made a promise to do an annual girls weekend.  We suggested switching locations each time so that everyone had a weekend in their city, and lucky me we picked Phoenix first.
I booked a room at the Palomar downtown, which I would highly recommend and we made sure to check out all the great food downtown.  Matt's Breakfast, Lustre, Blue Hound, Copper Blues, Breakfast Club.  On Saturday we went to watch Tommy play at the Diamondbacks Corporate game.
It was so fun to be able to talk, catch up and cheer on Tommy.  After relaxing by the pool, we ate and walked around downtown.
While the weekend was short it was a perfect get away for the three of us.  There is nothing better than friends that remind and challenge you to always try to be a better version of yourself.
Until next time... in Vegas?

Taking advantage

Someone is exhausted and Lucy is taking advantage, snuggle time.

Staycation

After two weeks of summer camp, I needed a get away.  Since my parents were out of town Tommy and I headed to their house to get away.  Our weekend was complete with sun, relaxing and reading (I even read 2 books).
We were able to sneak down to the club for a delicious breakfast on Saturday, and since the clubhouse is under construction, we were able to eat in the private dining room.  So fancy!

Thank goodness for a short staycation, sometimes it can save your sanity.  One more day till family vacation.  Montana here we come.

Dreams come true

One of Tommy's childhood dreams came true when the Diamondbacks asked two employees from Bluemedia to play in the Corporate Sponsor game.  Tug and Tommy were picked, which meant Tommy could barely relax in order to sleep at night.
Not only did they provide breakfast and lunch for the players but Tommy also received his own custom jersey (which will eventually be framed).
Tommy played well despite what he says, while getting one good hit and making a couple great plays.
While the boys experienced what a full game would be like so did the fans, which included the hot dog race, kiss cam and the smile cam.  We may have even made the high light reel. NBD
We had a great time and I now understand why Tommy was so excited.  It was definitely the opportunity of a lifetime for Tommy and I am glad we were able to share it with him.

Morenci Style

There is nothing quite like heading home, for Tommy that is...
Tommy's best childhood friend got married at the end of May, so we definitely made the trip back to Morenci.  While it was short since we drove up Saturday morning, we did stay the night at the Morenci Motel.  It was fun to hang out with Tommy's family and to see where he is from just a little bit more.
Congrats to Kisha and Ricky!  The wedding was so much fun!

Big Boy Status

Cade is two years old today and I just can't believe it.  Recently Cade started attending school five days a week.  I feel like he was just born yesterday, and Tommy and I were racing to the hospital to meet him.
Just like any other big boy, he loves carrying his lunch box into school.  We plan on waiting till vacation in Whitefish to celebrate his birthday, with cake and balloons.
I had a feeling this week was going to drag on by...

USA!

On Monday I sit down to relax after a long day at work.  Tommy has just come home from an afternoon spent watching soccer and my mind starts to wonder.  How did I not remember how much Tommy LOVES the World Cup??

See picture evidence below from work before Monday's game...
After thinking about the World Cup, I conclude and ask how often does the World Cup happen? Tommy quickly responds only every 4 years, ahhhhh.  It all makes sense... if you've only been dating for two and a half years, then you never experienced the World Cup Madness via Tommy Mann.

After celebrating a win on Monday, Tommy is already planning the next World Cup watch party.  While I am still learning about Tommy's passion for soccer, I have always loved a good get together so we will see what fun we can plan for Sunday.

Day Off

Last Wednesday I was able to take the day off, it was fabulous!!  I spent the morning relaxing, watching HGTV and during commercials I cleaned.

I was able to deep clean my bathroom, mop the floors, clean the kitchen and dishes, and washed 4 loads of laundry.  At noon I hopped over to hang with my favorite nephew
I spent the afternoon looking after this...
and this...
and this.

Rough Day!

For the red, white and blue

A Monday off from work, what better excuse to get all your friends together.  Christina and I decided to get together for our 2nd annual Memorial Day Sunday Funday.  We turned up the grill, cooled down the pool and everyone brought their favorite BBQ treat.  Another successful family friend get-together and the food was absolutely delicious, especially the bacon wrapped dates (I forgot to take a picture, might have been too many margaritas).
Tommy was avid about being festive, and making sure we all remembered why we were not working.  I guess if you can't beat him, join him right?
It was great to catch up with great friends, some who we hadn't seen for months.  We promised not to wait so long the next time, but as we all know life gets busy.  Another great reminder to enjoy all the moments we have together, there were definitely memories made that I will never forget.

Priceless

Memorial Day weekend my Dad had some lovely visitors.  My Mom went to Spokane for my cousin's graduation, so Ali and Cade went up to visit for the long weekend.  Papa looked to be enjoying everything just as much as Cade
And what Mirabel trip wouldn't be complete without a swim session with Mommy.  Cade is quite the swimmer these days, which is good because the temperature is heating up down here (111 yesterday). Yikes!
And after a long day at work, Ali texted me this picture.  Cade's smile can definitely make me forget any worries, hell it can make anyone forget all their stresses.  So you're welcome, enjoy and take in all his cuteness.

Lookin' Good

Since the weather is continuing to stay above freezing in MN, Sophia has been rocking her best summer outfit.  Okay I may be a little bias :-)
The cute little romper and glitter shoes were a gift from Auntie Meggy but man o man she pulls it off well.  Watch out Mom and Dad!

*Please note that her birthday was in April, so these jellie sandals were paired with socks for quite a few months.

Dana

Someone (and her perfect new addition) stopped into SARRC on an all staff Friday, and I loved having the opportunity to catch up with her.  Days like this Friday remind me how much I love not only what I do, but also how much I love the amazing people I work alongside.  Dana and I worked together for some 3 or so years before she moved to Vegas for her husband's work.  Since we've been through a lot together, Friday was a nice reminder to how completely comfortable you can be with a few close girlfriends.
Dana has always be supportive, helpful and constantly reminded me to have fun while collecting data :-)  I can't wait for next weekend, when Kristin, Dana and I have a girls weekend in Downtown Phoenix.  We are hoping to relax and catch up on all the craziness in each of our lives.
