Sports Weekend

We started our weekend off on Friday and met up at the Hard Rock (they had decent GF options).  After quickly eating we headed to cheer on the Suns.  Our real reason for attending the game was to watch KG and the Celtics but of course once again KG did not play.  I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've tried to see KG play and he is always either injured and/or they don't need him (in order to win).  Tommy and I enjoyed the game even though the Suns got demolished.
Saturday began with our first spring training game with Andrew and Andra.  We headed west to watch the Brewers vs. the A's.  The weather was perfect and so were the drinks.  A great way to spend our weekend...

?Future Sun Devils?

I sure hope so!  There is nothing better than buying Sun Devil gear for my cousins.
It is even better when they text asking for Sun Devil gear...
and the cherry on top of my sundae on Saturday was getting this picture from my crazy cousins throwing up their pitchforks in the photo booth.  They really make you fear the fork, don't they??
Sincerely your, Proud Sun Devil Cousin

Bluemedia

Co-ed softball has started back up on Sunday nights but this season we picked up a new mascot.  Lucy's owners finally figured out a way to make sure she is exhausted on Sundays.  The team has started off on a rough note since we were asked to move up a bracket and our star MVP is out (yep that means Tommy is injured).  Hopefully this Sunday we will shoot for our first victory, keep your fingers crossed...

Lucy: The Top Dog

As my girlfriends continue to get married, engaged and have kids I sometimes wonder what will happen to old goose when my life doesn't revolve around her.  In fact it makes me a little nervous that I might completely forget about her but until then I am enjoying spoiling her every minute.  If I wasn't already a big nerd, this week I was excited to figure out how to label the internet and finally put a password on it.  I think you might guess which internet is mine... :-)
Instead of spoiling Lucy this week, she got tortured!  Lucy spent her President's Day celebrating at a new doggie salon.  Haircut complete with bows and bandana :-)

Crazy weather

Yes, I realize this post might drive a few Minnesota readers crazy but this week has been filled with wild weather.  The weather forecasters would not quit talking about the freezing weather that was headed our way on Wednesday.  While my parents and I joked about how NOT cold 50 degrees is, it actually got cold enough to snow in the cities.  On my drive home on Wednesday (which is normal around 40 minutes) I sat in bumper to bumper traffic on Frank Lloyd Wright and the 101 to finally notice the snowflakes on my windshield.  Never did I think that would ever happen in AZ.  After talking to my Mom on the ride home, I learned that they were experiencing much more snow and by the time I pulled into my condo 45 minutes away I saw clear skies and a beautiful sunset.
Glad to see the weather is finally straightening out because Tommy couldn't be more excited to enjoy our first spring training game in Peoria today.  New sunglasses and sunscreen here we come...

Someone is excited...

to have two aunties soon.  Only 76 days until Cullen and Becky get married and we are approaching shower and bachelorette party time.  Most the planning has been complete and flights have been purchased. Cade and I can't wait to see everyone soon to celebrate Cullen and Becky!!
Becky and I's funny little valentine!

Are we getting old?

This post doesn't need much explaining if you are a true fan...
Is it bad that I still wish this show was on?

Spring is trying...

to break through and I am more than ready to purchase some fun spring dresses for the upcoming parties.  Now if I can only find something in my size in stock...

No case of the Mondays

I always promised not to be THAT girl (the one who constantly talks about how great their bf/husband is on Facebook), but its okay to do it on your own personal blog right?  Well anyways WARNING: alert cheesy bf update ahead...

Monday is always my long day at work with Pilates and back to back clients I struggle to have any energy by the time 7pm rolls around.  So when I came home on Monday I arrived to a spotless house and a bf ready to go to the dog park and grocery (two places I strongly dislike going).  After we wore out Lucy at the park, I was ready to snuggle into my pajamas (I am my mother's daughter) and watch some tv....
While I enjoyed a glass of wine, a tired dog and the Bachelor Tommy made the most delicious dinner (don't mind my cheap dollar plates).  It's times like these I need to pinch myself.  Such a great way to start the week off.

Special guests

Tommy and I had a happening friday.  Right after work we headed to Eric and Gillean's couples shower.  It was great to see most of the Seton College gang and their parents (sadly it's all boys so no one will let me take a good picture, it was still fun though).  Glad that we are able to be a part of some of their new adventures as a couple.

In the meantime Em and Mike were flying South from Minnesota.  After the shower we headed to meet Mike and Em for dinner. We went to San Tan Brewery which has a great gluten free menu.  It was fun to catch up an enjoy the warm weather with friends.
We have a full agenda planned for today including working out, target run, lunch, Cade time and then Mike and Em have to get ready for Em's college roommates wedding.  Hope we can fit everything in...

Yotes vs. Wild

After an eventful weekend we still weren't ready to crash, so we kept the ball rolling and headed to the Coyotes vs. Wild hockey game on Monday night.  Cullen, Becky, Tommy and I stopped in at the Yard House to check out their gluten free menu and after quickly eating we bundled up and headed to the game.  (Yes Minnesotans I said bundle up to go inside a hockey arena--- I am officially a wimp)  The seats were great but the Wild did not play very well.  Oh well maybe next time...
Thanks Becky for inviting us!

Some dogs never change

The ball went on the nightstand at 8:30pm (after 2 straight hours of playing fetch).
Woke up at 6:30 to Lucy patiently waiting for the ball to be released...

Official Cader Updater

While I spent my weekend at the golf tournement, Cade spent his shopping with Grammy and his Mom.  I mean this kid is adorable and dressed to the nines.  He definitely rocks colored jeans way better than anyone I know.  Can't wait to see his 6 month pictures.  Coming soon...
Not only does Cade like shopping like his Auntie, he also loves snacking.  Cade did some snacking on puffs with Grammy today.  He is continuing to grow up right before our very eyes.  We (Cade and I) are looking forward to more visitors this weekend since Auntie Em is coming into town on Friday.  We couldn't be more excited... 48 hours and counting.

Waste Management 2013

Another great year at the Open.  We spent lots of time catching up with old friends and we actually even watched a little bit of golf.  Now we are definitely just going to relax and enjoy Superbowl Sunday...

Book Review

So ever since I got my kindle I signed up for Prime on Amazon.  Through this membership you can borrow a book a month, access instant videos, get free shipping etc.  Burning man was one of my free options so I thought I would see what it was about (it had a good rating 4/5 stars).  Boy o boy it did not disappoint.  I couldn't put it down (which is always a good sign, right?).  It was definitely the fastest book I have read in a long time.  Now I am off to a different book for February...
