Never would I have guessed...

that I would spend my Sunday waiting to watch this show.
I plan my entire Sunday around getting everything done before the Walking Dead comes on.  Still to this day Tommy tells people, how at first I hated when he watched this show (even more than the 8th football game on a fall Sunday) but now I just can't get enough of it.  Even more importantly I would recommend it to anyone.  I love the characters.  Tonight is the season finale so somehow we have to fit in groceries, Pilates+, dog walk, windsor square house tour, lunch with Aunt Cindy and Uncle Dan and March Madness all before 9.  I think we can do it :-)

Happy Sunday!

Celebrating right...

with my perfect little family!

Take Tommy out to the ball game

This little crackerjack definitely helped us celebrate Tommy's birthday in style.  Since Ali and Adrian couldn't make it to birthday dinner, we decided to celebrate with a birthday baseball game.  Cade was adorable...
although that should come as no surprise.  We had a great time enjoying the sun and all Cade's cuteness.  Cade was looking for the birthday boy when he snuck away to find a hotdog and a beer (because a spring training game isn't complete without those). Picture a small little boy looking around"Where's Tommy?, Tommy?"

We left after 6 innings which is good enough for a young sports fan, hell I could barely last 6 innings.  Cade must have known we were celebrating the big 30th birthday because he even gave Tommy a hug goodbye.  Too cute...

Dirty Thirty

Since Tommy turned thirty on Tuesday we had to celebrate in style.  We got a big group of friends and headed to the brewery.  This time around Tommy picked San Tan Brewery.
It was fun to get everybody together and more importantly to celebrate my best friend.  Happy Birthday TD, can't wait to see what the big 3-0 brings!

Thanks to everyone who stop by, it wouldn't have been the same without you :-)

Off Season

While Tommy wishes it was football season, Leah is actually busy preparing for Sun Devil Football.  You can see her mini pitchfork as she sleeps.
She's a die hard!  Go Devils!

The final few days

Before we knew it Friday, Saturday and Sunday flew by, filled with wedding activities.
We spent our last two days enjoying the beach, sun, and the newlyweds.
So happy for our Emmy Bean!  Can't wait till we can all meet up in Cabo again.

#bachelornation

For those of you that don't know, viewers that watch the Bachelor call themselves #bachelornation.  (and yes I am admitting I am a complete nerd with this post).  Lucy is a proud member of #bachelornation if you can't tell, hahaha.  Like majority of people Lucy was also disappointed about the Bachelor this season.  As people continue to discuss their disappointments, I can't help but continue to hear my parents voices.  My parents always said "this show is trash".

For two consecutive weeks (I swear I didn't post the same picture twice, she got a haircut), Lucy laid down in front of the T.V. like this and stared at me for the last hour of the show.  It is almost like she is telling me "your parents are right, this show is trash".
Regardless if my parents are correct or not, it is the perfect way to relax and unwind on a Monday night.  So sorry M & D (& Lucy) I can gladly admit I can't wait until the next season... so let the countdown begin.

The perfect pair of shoes

As a woman, we have all had a perfect pair of shoes.  The ones that fit just right and match with every outfit.  The ones that when they finally break or don't fit you are deeply sadden to say goodbye.  Well little Sophia might have just found her perfect pair of shoes and I couldn't be more proud because they were a birthday present from Auntie Meggy.

There is nothing I love more than shopping for my  peanuts (all of them).  As I was cruising through the outlets I saw this adorable romper and gold jellies.  I LOVED jellies growing up.  In fact I remember going shopping with my Mom and getting a pair of jellies every summer.  I knew they would be the perfect shoes for Sophia's vacation to Cancun in a few weeks.
Last Friday I got a text from Lynette (with this picture) describing a girl after my own heart.  Lynette briefly described that Sophia was spending her evening walk around the house, taking her shoes on and off all by herself.  Lynette asked if she was going to take those off before bed, when her sweet little voice says "No Mommy I keep them on".

On Saturday, as I was getting my errands done I received another text from Lynette.
"There still on. They don't look nearly as cute with socks on".  Nothing like Jellies, socks and snow :-) A young Minnesota Fashionista after my own heart.

Have a blast in Cancun Lynette, Tory and Sophia!  Enjoy the warmth, you all deserve it!

Go Yotes!

Last week we decided to mix it up.  Since we haven't had a date night in awhile, we took advantage of the Bluemedia Coyote tickets.  The stadium is on the other side of town we don't get out there too often.  I get a sense of home every time I walk into a hockey arena.  It reminds me of the countless hours spent in an arena watching (as an adult), eating snacks and playing (as a kid).
During winter I felt like I grew up in a hockey arena and to be honest all my memories were positive (minus throwing up in the cup holder on the way to Cullen's game).  Watching the Yotes definitely made me miss MN just a little bit.  But Tommy and I enjoyed the free food and drinks and a perfect Coyote victory.  Date night success.
