An exciting jam packed spring......

The next few weeks/months are going to be amazing, awesome and perfect.  I can not wait to blog everything coming up in my life.  Just wanted to give everyone a head's up for all the upcoming blogs..... Stay tuned  :-)

A Perfect Sunday: Hiking Camelback

This past weekend was hard to even explain, but I am going to do my best and try.  I was for once able to take time for myself and my condo.  My weekend was filled with decorating (see post below), shopping, hanging out with mom, cleaning but also I hiked Camelback Sunday morning with Jess and the boys (Brandon, Dan and Kurt).  It was soooo hard (I was dripping sweat, not pretty) but it was the best idea!!  If you can believe this, I was more sore on Monday than I was after running the half marathon, crazy!!  After my hike, Jess and I decided to continue a great Sunday with lunch pool side.  It was sunny and not a cloud in the sky.  You can't beat Arizona at this time of year.  I wish all my Minnesota friends were down here, warm and toasty with me :-)  Anyways I finished off this amazing Sunday by tutoring a bit and heading to bed early, yeeaa!  Here is a pic of the view from our hike.....
I Love Arizona!!

Happy Birthday Patrick!!!

It is only going downhill from here hahahaha, Love ya bud!!

A Decorating Saturday.....

....with my personal decorator, JESS!!
So some of you might not know but my condo has been lacking in the details (I bought curtains in March that were still waiting to be hung).  So today my decorator and I headed to IKEA and World Cost Plus.  We picked up some baskets for ALL my magazines, curtains and the rod, cute flowers paintings and a plant and pot.
My decorator not only helps me pick out decor but also installs with a special helper, three for the price of one.
After hours of work, Jess and I had an amazing finished product and a great homemade pizza to go with it.
I LOVE my new living room....next project the bedroom (after more saving)!!!  Thanks Jess, your the best!!!

~MY 23rd BIRTHDAY~

O man another year older and definitely the best birthday yet!  I started off my birthday with a phone call from my Auntie Susie (and her choir group) the night before and it was a blast from there on.  The day was filled with banners, cakes, singing dogs, cards, presents, singing messages and adorable texts.  For birthday dinner we went to my favorite place Pizzeria Bianco, it was soooo delicious as always. After dinner we came home and opened presents.  I got lots of books, money and more ASU gear, wooohooo.  (Go Devils, btw we beat UofA on my birthday)  After time with the family, we laced up our shoes and headed to the bowling alley.  Everyone met up to have a fun time bowling and hanging out.  (I didn't take nearly enough pictures)  I seriously have the best friends and family and will never forget this birthday.  Thanks again to everyone that came!!!  I love you all!!!

A Silly Monday Night

Tonight Em, Dave and I went out to Rumbi Grill.  Our latest restaurant craze (if you haven't been, you should definitely check it out, Awesome rice bowls) Anyways... after dinner we decided to look around our favorite store World Cost Plus Market and then of course Em decided she might want a fish, so where do we go but.... PetsMart.

Dave, Em and I are walking around PetsMart, when we run into some ASU wear for your dog.  Immediately Em and I are engulfed in the ASU stuff and Dave continues to wander the store.  Of course how it turns into Em and I hiding in PetsMart from Dave, one will never know??

This is where I decide why not hop into an empty space in between dog food bags and before I know it Em is telling me to move over and quit giggling.  Em and I are hanging out in the dog food hiding from Dave for 8 minutes (So much longer than it sounds).  During this time people are walking by (with animals) and we just continue to play our game of hide and seek.......

Needless to say, Dave found us but man o man I think I laughed so hard I almost peed my pants.... The PetsMart moment definitely made my day, Thanks Em!!
Here's a pic of our tight squeeze

P.F. Changs Half Marathon: Survival Story

Em, My Dad and I DID IT!!!
...and more importantly I lived to blog about it today with minimal soreness.  The Half Marathon yesterday was a blast!!!  There were tons of fans, good music and water. Never did I ever think I would be able to cross this off my bucket list.  Never the less I kept on trucking and due to the cheerleaders I was able to finish with a decent time, 2:25.  (Em and Dad were a little more competitive with each other, hahaha)  Needless to say I will most likely run it again, hopefully recruiting a few more friends :-)
  Looking good
And were off..... mile marker 7

Thanks again to all
the people that came out to support, it was so fun to see you all there!  Thanks Dana, Brian, Mom, Ali, Collyn, Lauren , Andra and Kristin even though I missed ya!!  (I was in the zone, aka your brother is too fast)
Living the Dream, couldn't have done it without you bud!

Me in 365

So I have yet another New Years resolution, all due to my friend Jenny.  At work Jenny was talking about this group she wanted all of us to join called "You in 365".  So the goal is to take a picture of yourself once a day but of course there are a few quick rules....
1. It must be a SELF portrait
2. You must be in the photo in some way
3. The photo must be taken on the actual day
4. You don't have to post everyday
5. It may be edited
So I thought it was weird at first and it is definitely still strange to have to remember to take a picture of myself, but I think that when it is all done it will be amazing to look at how much I change in one year.  This little project is making me more aware of the beauty in all the amazing things I do daily.  Hopefully it will be interesting, if not I can always deleted all the pictures, hahaha.  So if your interested in seeing the photos here is the link.....
Also I challenge everyone to join the group and to try to take 365 pictures, it is never to late.

Thanks Jen, another amazing idea.  (You're sooo creative)

The end of an Era....

Friday was a day mixed with all sorts of emotions.  The SARRC community school took a huge hit as Sarah had her last day at work. :-(  Sarah is leaving us to go expand a school in San Diego, her home.  While everyone is so excited and proud of her we also can't believe that the day has come to say goodbye.  Friday was a day I will always remember from the tea party, to lunch and gifts and of course our final goodbye circle.  Sarah Good luck with all your adventures in San Diego, you will do numerous amazing things for everyone in your future.  All of us SARRC girls will miss you everyday and will hope to make you proud with what we continue to do on a daily basis.

My Family the Tailgaters... I learn from some of the best!!

This year for New Years the whole family was in town.  Cousins, Five Baileys and even Grandma.  So when my Dad heard the Gophers were playing in the Insight Bowl it was an instant family trip.  Aunt Cindy's fam was all KU fans and of course the Bailey's were all Gopher fans (plus a Sun Devil fan) which caused for some interesting trash talking and of course LOTS of tailgating.  Needless to say I think Aunt Cindy won bragging rights this day when they beat the Gophers 42-21, ROCK CHALK...... JAYHAWK!!!  It was a blast to party with the fam and of course watch a little football, Love you all!!
....until next football season....
I meet up with the SARRC girlies... Katie, Katie and Dana-- KU FANS
Wooohooo tailgating party girls....Don't worry Mom I won't put up your tequila shot video, haha!
...Maybe next years Christmas card??...

Game Night = Rachel's Last Night :-(

It was a sad yet fun Saturday night.... if that is even possible.  One of my friends from work Rachel is moving to Colorado on Monday, so some of the SARRC girlies I work with decided to get together to hang just one last time.  We had a good time being competitive and beating Brian in every game, hahahaha!!  You will be missed at SARRC Rach, Good luck with everything in Colorado and we will for sure see you in February.
Here is the turnout of gamers... Katie, Rach, Dana and I

My Favorite....

As I am watching game after game of BCS bowls, I am super bummed I don't get to watch my ASU devils :-(  So I needed a little pick me up today.  Some of you might not know but I absolutely LOVE the Sun Devil Stories they play at the end of the 1st quarter at the ASU games.  I never miss it!!  One of my goals is to have my own Sun Devil story play at the ASU game.  Until then here is one of my favorite stories for you

GO DEVILS!!!
