Distracted

This actually might be the word that Lucy, work or my house might use to describe me this week.  Every free waking moment I am down at the hospital.  I might have been seen leaving the hospital both nights well after 7pm.  To say that I can't get enough of that Cadder would be an understatement.  While I knew I would always love my nephew, I never guessed to be this excited.  (I might have even said that I couldn't babysit until he was 2 years old) but I completed re track that statement.  I will babysit morning, noon and night as long as my first baby (Lucy) doesn't get upset.  While I haven't been home to my own house before 8pm the last two nights, why would I change anything yesterday.  I was extremely productive yesterday at work (counting down the minutes till Tommy and I got to go to the hospital).  So when we were finally ready to leave of course some rush hour traffic greeted us, but we were at the hospital before we knew it.  Tommy took a big leap of faith and held Cade (he might have been a little nervous, but my Dad told him it was just like a football)
After some laughs, cries, wiggles and opening his eyes we finally got our 2 and a half hour dose of Cade.  (Cade had Auntie Sam come visit too, just to make sure that he had everyone wrapped around his finger)
Sam, Tommy and I decided that we were starving so we headed home in a large dust storm.  After making it home safely we tackled Lucy and dinner.  Look what I made...
It was delicious!!!  I am breaking the trend tonight and not going to see Cade.  I decided the pile of laundry and dishes has gotten out of control, and they need to be tackled first.  Ali, Adrian and Cade are heading home from the hospital today, but don't think that doesn't mean I won't be there all weekend.

**Don't worry I am working on the birthing story from the Mommy (Hoping to see a guest post soon)

Welcome Cade Michael!!!

He is finally here, weighing a perfect 7lbs 3oz.  More details to come soon (I am exhausted and don't have time to write a long post).  Until I have some time, my day was filled with two clients in between two visits with Cade (and Ali & Adrian)
Enjoy!!!

Fashion

My new favorite blog is developed by a girl around my same age.  She takes cute outfits from magazines and makes everything possible.  The best part about her website is that everything she picks is affordable and she tries to find a couple of similar options incase her outfit has sold out.  Check it out it is such a fun blog...J's Everyday Fashion...

Patiently waiting

...Cade is finally making some moves this morning.  Ali started to have light contractions last night and her water broke this morning.  While we are all excitedly waiting for Cade's arrival I took some down time to look at baby pictures of Cullen, Ali and I.  It is pretty funny how much photography and baby pics have changed in 20 years.

Enjoy lots of laughs and take a guess on who is who??

Will and Julie

With a beautiful Connecticut sunset as the background, Will and Julie finally tied the knot on Friday night.
My college friends and I (Eric, Gillean, Tommy, Panda, Paul and Adam) couldn't have agreed more that it was well worth the trip and travel.  While we arrived on time on Thursday we quickly rushed to the hotel and rehearsal dinner but with hitting rush hour traffic we were running a bit late.  Never have I had a groom call to place our dinner orders and wondering how far away we were on his special day.  Julie and Will greeted all of us with HUGE smiles and hugs.  We were fully embaraced by their family and all their relatives.  It was great to not only finally be in Danbury, CT  but to be able to share in all the wedding festivities.

Gillean and I relaxed and did some shopping on the day of the wedding.  When 4pm rolled around we were excited and surprised at how fast the day had gone.  We quickly got ready and headed to make the shuttle for a 5:30pm wedding.  The wedding was at a gorgeous Inn surrounded by trees, lakes and flowers and Will and Julie were constantly smiling.  Before we knew it the reception was over and we were taking the shuttle back to end a wonderful night.  Eric, Gill, Tommy and I were up super early and headed to the airport to try to make our flight on time (and yes Dad of course we did).  With a quick lay over in Minnesota and some Caribou coffee we finally made in back home Saturday afternoon.
While the trip was short it was extremely fun and well worth all the work... until next time.

What woman doesn't love jewelry

After going to a wedding weekend, you can really see how accessories make an outfit.  I am a true believer that you can only feel as good as you look and what can't make that better but a nice piece of jewelry.  Here are some of my favorite pieces right now...
