Cadder Time

Nothing better than having a reason to celebrate the cutest baby in the whole world.  We found one on Saturday and more importantly at 8am, hahaha.  Cade's baptism was on Saturday and we had a great time at the ceremony and then we headed over to Ali & Ad's for a delicious brunch.  The food was great and it was so nice to see Adrian's family too.  Nothing better than a few adorable pictures of Cade Michael Marasigan.

Turkey weight

The pooch and I have been trying to exercise and work off our pooches.  Lucy finally got a haircut before Turkey day and we noticed she was a little bit huskier than we remembered (must have been hiding under all that fur).  It was easy to work out on Holiday break up at my parents but it has been a little bit harder to keep it going with our normal routine.  I decided to cut down on pilates sessions and re-introduced cardio with walk/runs (that Lucy has been apart of).  We are going strong this week (3 miles on Monday and 2 miles today).  The things Lucy and I can talk through during this time are endless...

Leftovers

Some might say Lucy might be spoiled or treated like a human.  While most people blame the mom aka me but I think this picture says it all.  Looks like everyone loves Thanksgiving leftovers...
Hope everyone had a fantastic Turkey weekend, I know we did!

Decorating fun

It's kind of hard to tell from the pictures but the roommate went decorating crazy on Saturday and now we are ready for the Holidays.  Since my condo is a little small there isn't too much decorating to do but I think between Sammy and I we covered the basics.  As of yesterday I am finally done Christmas shopping and everything is wrapped and under the tree :-)  Just the way I like it!  Now I can just relax and enjoy the Christmas spirit.  Tommy has officially learned about my crazy Christmas shopping rules now I guess all that is left is to introduce to all my crazy Christmas movies.  Which one should I start with?????

Babes in Toyland
Elf
White Christmas
The Christmas Toy
Love Actually
The Holiday
Home Alone (1 & 2)
Muppet Christmas Carol

A Holiday Treat

So quickly after Turkey Day, Tommy and I packed for the next adventure.  We made sure to get a car wash and I got my Sparky nails touched up before we hit the road to Tucson.  We are lucky enough to have great friends that LOVE the Sun Devils too so Andra and Andrew made the trip as well.  Once we made it to the armpit of America we stopped and got lunch and drinks of course.  Andra and I knew we had to try the craziest dessert we had ever heard of...
talk about disappointment.  This dessert was absolutely disgusting and you know how much I LOVE bacon, so we decided to wash it down with another beer.  The game made us feel like we were on a roller coaster, up and down and up and down again.  Lucky for us it ended on an up and a ASU victory (and just in time so Andra and I didn't have heart attacks).   With four happy ASU fans we piled back into the car and drove back to Phoenix that night.  As 2 am approached quickly we snuggled into bed with the best holiday treat ever.... Sun Devils beat U of A!!!

Thanksgiving

I love myself a little Thanksgiving time, mostly for the food and secondly for two days off!  It was great to get everyone together (The Baileys, Marasigans and the Manns) and for some reason no one thought to take any pictures, major fail!  I was able to catch a few pictures and I think Ruby explains exactly how everyone felt about 8pm at mi casa, dead beat!
Just when we thought we weren't tired we headed to see the new bond movie (please pay attention to the dog that snuck in the photo, hoping to make a trip to the movie).  Becky, Cullen, Tommy and I had a great time at the movie late on Thanksgiving night.  There were plenty of snacks, treats and raving reviews for the movie.

Going Bold

Nail time has finally turned into girlfriend time.  A couple of my girlfriends and I have been going to my favorite nail salon every few weeks to relax a little and of course to get our nails done.  Last week I stated that I might want to do something bold (like Black) for my nails and Tommy of course recommended some gold (for the ASU game against U of A).  So after unwinding with the girlfriends, I followed his lead and went BOLD with black and gold.  While I don't think it will last too long, my clients have loved it (always a plus).  There is nothing better than a little down time to catch up with the girls.  There is something about getting your nails done that makes me feel all giddy inside...
Go Devils!

Getting ready for the Holidays

Lucy might have been called homeless by someone prior to Wednesday so I think it is safe to say that it was time.  I mean this was a picture I took in the parking lot of the grooming salon.  Lucy had a spa day Wednesday morning (which is the opposite of relaxing for her), after a few short hours she came back looking adorable.  Someone is ready for Turkey Day...
The bow was a little bit over the top, no worries because it didn't last long.

Last home game

Last Saturday was definitely bittersweet.  While I am excited to have a little bit more free time on the weekend there is nothing better than a Sun Devil football game.  We were lucky enough to get sideline passes for the ASU/ Washington St. game, and I enjoyed every second on the field.  Since it was a 1pm game we had early tailgating with the Wolfs and then we enjoyed the sunshine on the field.  The weather couldn't have been more perfect and a Sun Devil home game victory definitely put a cherry on top of my sundae.  Until next year...

"I swear

...they taste better than they look." Never is this a good sign when you are saying this as you hand your boyfriend his plate for dinner.  It may have happened last night to Tommy...

I made breakfast for dinner last night (which is definitely my favorite thing to do).  Instead of making my normal egg in a frame, I tried something something new (should've stuck to my normal routine).  While I would find a use for bacon for every meal if it was okay for my body,  I was really craving it last night.  I saw this recipe a few weeks ago and thought why not try it.  So batta bing batta boom, presto chango!  Bacon Pancakes!!!
Tommy said they were delicious and he would never lie (well maybe alittle bit in order to not hurt my feelings) But he definitely asked me to make them again :-)

Lesson learned: don't judge a book by its cover
Translation: don't judge a pancake by its shape

My biggest vice

After a long day, I try to figure out what to make for dinner...
While I want to eat this... I make a Caesar salad pita instead.
Just waiting to have this for dessert...definitely the highlight to some of my days lately!
Best Ice Cream Sandwich in town! Got to love Trader Joe's

Saturday fun

I gave out 40% off at GAP this weekend (Thanks to Carly) to a few of my baby mama friends and it has been soooo fun to hear about what adorable stuff they got for themselves and/or their kiddos.  Sam and I headed to the mall ourselves to do some returns and Sammy decided to get her ears re-pierced.  Since I am a whimp and couldn't watch I took a pre pierce picture and then I got thinking about earrings.
I love that posts are making a come back there are soooo many cute ones, hard to choose a favorite.

Happy Saturday, Go Devils!!!  Off to watch the game at a bar on Mill with some friends :-)

Spoiled Rotten

I had/I am having a rough week with my asthma and allergies.  Between an ear infection, an allergic reaction and having a difficult time breathing I am/I was a hot mess.  After spending over an hour at Target waiting for prescriptions to be called in before they closed.  I was exhausted and still hadn't ate dinner.  Someone made sure to take care of dinner with my favorite treat, grilled cheese and bacon.  After a delicious dinner and some medicine I was fast asleep.  I woke up to breakfast and snacks packed in my purse.  Someone wanted to make sure I could take my medicine where ever I was (since I need to take it with food).

Someone is...
So thoughtful...
So helpful...
I am beat and spoiled rotten. :-)

All snuggled up

I just can't wait for Christmas!!  I am already window shopping and thinking of ways to spoil my loved ones.  It is finally going to be getting cold this weekend and of course it won't last to long so I am definitely planning on enjoying it with my new boots. :-)  I got them on sale at Nordstroms here...
With all this talk of cold weather, I can't help but check the jammies on sale at Nordstrom too.  They all look sooo snuggly, wish I had more opportunities to wear all this cute warm gear.  Maybe soon...
