So as everyone might know at work or seen on facebook, I've been doing quite a bit of traveling. From family parties, to selling the house and to Montana. I once again set home on Friday to enjoy a weekend in Minnesota with the girls. It was weird to be at home but not be able to sleep at my house anymore and of course it was 60 all weekend, figures.
I am finally at that stage in life where my friends are getting married and engaged, left and right. With Christy last summer, Lynette this summer and Amy next summer I am definitely busy. I had an amazing time at home and I was reminded once again about what great friends I have. Friday night Ly's sisters threw a fantastic bachelorette party with a party bus included. We had a blast and of course almost 300 pictures later, we are still trying to remember all the laughs.
While Friday was great it was even more fun to see old college friends and spend lots of time with Ly and Tory. Like Ly told me on the way to the airport, it has been sooo long since we spent that much time together. It just reminded me how much fun we have together, how much she understands me and how excited I am for her to jump to the next stage in life. So I wish the best of luck to Tory and Ly on their adventure together...... can't wait to see you two at the wedding in 10 days, Love you both!!
So I just finished reading a book that has been on my reading list since...... ummmm yea forever.... maybe Sophomore year of high school. The book is She's Come Undone....
Oprah recommended it for her book club along time ago too. (and man o man, Oprah knows her stuff)
I borrowed it from my mom about 2 years ago and I finally finished it!!!
Not only was I proud of myself for finally following through on something and not taking more than a month to read it once I started. Must have been all those flights traveling everywhere.
I would recommend this book (you can borrow my mom's copy).... it's a little sad but has a great message. Check it out!!
Since the football season is approaching at a rapid pace (Sept. 5th is the first game) I thought maybe people might need a little ASU pick me up. Check out this cool new website/marketing tool that Blind Society put together for the ASU football team. Kind of cheesy but it's different and definitely helps to get fans excited for the season. Check it out here. GO DEVILS!
It is serious, starting August 24th I will be back to school starting an online Masters Special Education program and my BCBA at guess where...... You guessed right, ASU!!! Go Devils. Can't wait!! Until then....
I can't believe it was already two weekends ago that I flew home to Minnesota. The weekend went by quick with wrapping up stuff at the house, a night out with the boys and a crazy Saturday with my Dad's entire fam. We drove down to Rochester, MN for golfing (for the boys) and shopping. At night we went to Michaels and celebrated..... Grandma's 80th birthday, Danny's 21st birthday, Denise and Tim moving and Baby Hudson. All in all it was a lot of fun to hang out with the entire family and of course there were far to many pictures taken and way to many laughs, so here is just a few.
aka Whitefish Mountain. Well there were many changes in Whitefish this year. It is definitely safe to say that the changes to the Mountain are definitely a good thing. They added an alpine slide and zip lining at Whitefish Montana this summer and it was a blast to do both. Sadly none of my videos from ziplining will upload so you are going to have to use your imagination.
The entire family went up to try the alpine slide and our sports photographer (my dad) got some pretty good action shots.
Later on in the week Ali, Isk, Em and I headed to try out the zip line. This was so much fun!!!! You're hanging 100 feet in the air ziping at speeds of up to 50 mph. Crazy!! So I would definitely recommend hitting up Whitefish Mountain to a friend......
So I've been going to Whitefish Montana for the last 15 summers and this 4th of July was no exception. Our 5 days were filled with shopping, malts, ziplining, sliding, boating, beers, jams, bowling, hiking, white water rafting, running, golfing, cousins, tons of food, bar hopping, driving, jewelry, reading and everything in between. I absolutely love everything about the fish. It's fun to have everyone packed into the cabin and taking in the beautiful scenery all around us. So I am just going to let the pictures do the talking and trust me there are a lot and I cut them down, yikes! Enjoy!
