It's Here!!!

The feelings that happen when planning a wedding are almost indescribable.  I may be one of the few brides that thinks that wedding planning is easy and fun but when the UPS delivery man presents the huge box to my parent's front door, I am overwhelmed with emotion.  It is mind-boggling to think I selected this dress four months ago after getting engaged less than 24 hours before. More importantly I signed a contract after parading around Kleinfeld for roughly 30 minutes, so when the box arrives my mind starts to race...
will it fit?
what if it's too long?
will it be as fabulous as I remember?
is it the right color?
who will do the alterations?
what shoes will I wear? flats? wedges? pumps?
how will I wear my hair?
will everyone like it?
veil? no veil?
statement earrings? or delicate?
will this live up to everything I've imagined since I was six?? okay maybe younger :-)

In reality, and with time I have realized that all of these questions will get answered and fine tuned, and to be quite frank it's really not worth losing sleep over.  Every time I have a fitting, I contort my body into my dream dress and realize it looks simply perfect.  It is exactly what I have imagined, and I can't wait for Tommy to see what's in this beautiful brown box.

Even more I love that if the shoes squish my toes, or the stone on the earrings is slightly too large, or even if I am not sure the length is just long enough for the grass the fact of the matter is none of this matters.  None of this is important without the Mann (pun intended) who will be standing besides me in that hot day in May.  So as always don't sweat the small details or else you will distract yourself from all of the good, and there is always good, always.

Just to confirm it is perfect and will be everything I've dreamed of :-)

Week 4, the final countdown

I would have never thought I would make it through all 30 days, no cheats!  I am lucky to have the support of family, co-workers, friends and one perfect fiance.  (He did Week 1 with me before work got crazy).

Days 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27: Tiger Blood!
I would agree with this tagline.  I am starting to cook more and made unique recipes like this granola and some chicken parm.  Both were extremely yummy!
I even tackled a baby shower with sooo much delicious food and sweets.
A yummy juice from Nekter helped to fill me up.
I was soooo proud of myself the day I cooked my own chicken.  I knew someday I could keep another human being alive, which I have always been a little afraid of :-)  As well as I was becoming a better wife for my future Mann.  Since Tommy was working crazy hours, I was prefecting cooking for two, cleaning and prepping on my own.

Day 28: 28 is a as good as 30 right?

I mean look at that meal.  Talk about lazy, I am pretty much just going through the last 2 days at this point.  I know I will make it but I can't help but relax/cook less and stop and look at all the food I can eat in 2 days.  By the way most of the food I am not even interested in, due to thinking about all of the sugar.

Dreamy Invites

I waited patiently for these invites, but you may have heard differently if you asked Tommy.
I love love love our wedding invites.  So much that I had a hard time sending them out :-)

Shannon Kirsten Illustration on Etsy, captured us perfectly in one small invite!

Week 3

Day 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20: Tiger Blood

I feel amazing.  I can completely feel the difference.  I find it to be easy and a no brainer to make meals.  I am starting to plan what life looks like after Day 30.   I am determined to make this a lifestyle.

Day 21: I am so over this
My clothes fit better, my skin is great, and I am more than proud of myself.

Oh wait then food boredom sets in and I am so glad to be in the single digit countdown.

Up Up and Away

We had the honor of being asked to join in on a styled shoot for a group of wonderful companies.

Ryan Lindsey Photography, Float Balloon Tours and Hoot and Holler

I loved every moment, hair, make-up, outfits, and don't forget food and beer for Tommy.  We got a few more fabulous pictures to add to the engaged file.  You really can never get enough.

Week 2

Day 8 and 9: For the love of GOSLING, my pants are tighter.
I do remember thinking that my clothes actually fit tighter during this week.  I was still extremely tired.  Falling asleep on the couch, watching Say Yes to the Dress.
I guess that could've happened any old Friday :-)

Day 10 and 11: The Hardest Days
Not too sure if I match the timeline.  These two days, Tommy and I made some really yummy dinners.  I do remember having to turn down free booze, that was a dagger to my heart.

Day 12, 13, 14 and 15: Boundless Energy! Now give me a damn twinkie!
I am not to sure on the energy but my body is definitely trying to drive me back to the comfort food I love.  I dream about eating non whole30 compliant food.  I have also identified that I have done more dishes and cooked in the last two weeks, than I probably have in the 28 years I've been alive.

Off to week 3... I can't believe I made it this far!
