Our post Christmas- Christmas

Tommy and I had a little bit of a different weekend.  Since football is winding down, I am getting to see a whole other side to Tommy.  While we spent some time catching up with old friends, we also decided to move full force ahead and got ready for the next wedding/baby/shower season.

It seems that everyone has friends either getting married, engaged and/or having kids and Tommy and I got prepared this weekend to tackle three weddings, two baby showers, two wedding showers, a lingerie party (obviously Tommy didn't make the cut on that one) and few new babies to celebrate.  Since we have a million and two things to celebrate we had to have a registry weekend.  For me it was soooo much fun shopping, decorating and getting organized and since Tommy was a champ I rewarded him with football and a gluten filled treat.  Nothing better!
All that is missing from these presents is a Christmas tree....

Crazy about balls

Last week we cleaned under the couch and found Lucy's favorite little tennis balls (yes there were about 5 or 6 under there).  To say that she is obsessed would be an under statement.  She now rings her bell when she would like a tennis ball and wakes up starring at the ball where ever we put it up for the night.  She is possessed...
While we love her very much, it is safe to say she is wearing all three of us thin...

Food Truck Festival

For anyone who was located in Phoenix yesterday you know the weather this weekend has been unlike any other.  Yesterday we had a high of 48 degrees (with a low of 19 at night), it was freezing.  Tommy, Andra, Andrew and I decided to bare the cold and check out the Food Truck Festival at Salt River Fields (D Backs training facility).  While it was windy the sun was shining all day.  We had a great time splitting my mittens as coozies for our cold drinks while trying every stand we could get in line for (we even ran into some college friends).  While the Food Trucks might have been a gluten free nightmare I found myself some roasted corn, a taco, a baked potato and some wine (not in that order).  This was the perfect event for a Saturday and a great way to celebrate Andra's last free weekend before tax season.
It was a small tease for spring training, which we can't wait for :-)

Parenthood

Recently a girl at work recommended that I watch Parenthood and when I found out I could stream it for free on my kindle you can only guess what I did all winter break.  While I had seen a few episodes before via my mom's recommendation, I figured out that I was hooked yesterday.  As I was laying in bed after shopping all morning, I turned on my Kindle to watch a few episodes before the Food Truck Festival.  Before I knew it my nightmare had come true I lay in bed crying by myself.  I was officially that girl... the girl that is so emotionally attached to people she doesn't even know (yes actors).  As Tommy entered the bathroom to get ready for the day, I quickly wiped away my tears and decided to join him.  Back to reality...

I am almost done with season two and can't wait to catch up so I can watch it on T.V.  If you haven't watched this show, I would highly recommend it.  Thanks for the recommendation James!

BBF 2013

I thought Tommy was trying to go for the Best Boyfriend of 2013 award when flowers strolled into my office on Friday.  Flowers on a Friday... What?  Why? That's never happened before.
I am already embarrassed and I am beginning to sweat.  People are starting to ask why and who they are from.  I quickly open the card and inside it reads...Happy Birthday Babe!  Love, Tommy

Hahahahaha nothing better than Birthday flowers 17 days in advance.  Thanks Tommy, Best Boyfriend of 2013!!
