So I love watching a new movie but I really don't like going to the movie theatre. It is too crowded, expensive and I hate the idea of paying for a nap (I can fall asleep while watching a movie in my own house) I must get this sleeping during movies from my mom. Lately there have been so many movies in the theatre that I have forced myself to go see and I have yet to be disappointed. I've seen American Reunion, Hunger games, The lucky one and Five year engagement. All of them had me laughing and I would definitely recommend all of them (minus the Lucky one). Enjoy!

A fun filled weekend
Emmy flew into town this weekend and we took advantage of every minute together. Friday night we went and tried out the new brewery (OHSO). It was delicious (I had a grilled cheese of course) and it was great to see all our friends come out to see Em. We woke up early and headed to the Pat Tillman run. Em and I ran the whole thing and finished our 4.2 miles in 43 minutes. The event is so fun and it makes me so proud to be a Sun Devil!! We enjoyed the rest of our Saturday hanging with friends by the pool and called it a night. Sunday we spent the day all together and it was sad to say goodbye after such a short weekend. We ended the weekend well by celebrating Adrian's birthday at Oregano's of course. There were lots of laughs and plenty of embarrassing stories to go around.
SARRC annual breakfast
Last Thursday SARRC had their largest fundraiser of the year. We wake up super early (have to be there at 6:30am) and we put together a large breakfast to help connect with people in our community. We invite around 2,000 people to come and see what we do and celebrate with us. This year I was a table captain, which meant I had a little bit more responsibility. Here are some of the videos that were shown in order to increase autism awareness here in Phoenix. Click here...

A fantastic little Wednesday
There is nothing better than being able to meet up with two of my favorite women for a little happy hour on a Wednesday. Since Mirabel is having adult spring break 2012, Uncle Dan and Aunt Cindy are in town. So not only does that mean lots of laughs, party planning, golf and drinks but it also means I am able to meet up for a quick treat. We decided late notice to meet up for lunch. Lunch quickly turned into a quick stop at Lulu lemon for the finishing touches to my Pat Tillman run outfit and of course some drinks and appetizers. (Who better than Aunt Cindy for a little fashion advice)
A sweet skirt, sports bra and tank top since it is going to be at least 70 during the run. After picking up the finishing touches we headed over to Brio and enjoyed artichoke dip, spicy shrimp and eggplant and ravioli.
And to top it all off we enjoyed some white peach sangria, it was delicious. After many laughs, gossip and filling in details we parted our separate ways.
I love that my mom and aunt can keep each other entertained no matter how old they get. I hope to have relatives like that when I get older.

Getting ready for summer...
and of course more weddings. So I have been trying to find the right dress for Will and Julie's wedding in June. I somehow always seem to wait till the last minute and never find exactly what I am looking for so I thought I would start browsing. Here are just a few of some of the cute dresses I found from Anthro and Nordstroms.
Picture updates
I finally used my camera and took pictures this weekend. While I have been to Country Thunder before, this weekend was even more fun than I expected. I don't know if it was a combination of needing some vacation, a great group of friends, country music or Blake Shelton :-) but we had a BLAST. Ever since Tyler told us that he was moving back home (to Ohio) in the beginning of May, my friends and I have spent hours and hours doing fun things and making the most of the time we have together and Country Thunder couldn't be a better example. Tommy and I headed East to Florence on Thursday at noon. We got there and unpacked, got settled in and had a quick lunch before we grabbed a few cold Coors, our cowboy hats and headed to the concert. The weather was gorgeous and we started our Thursday off with a little Eli Young Band and Dierks Bentley (two of my favorites). Lastly we went line dancing to an old favorite Harry Luge. We used to go see Harry Luge play in college in a small hole in the wall bar in Mesa, so it was great to see him again. We woke up the next day ready to meet up with all our friends. Loomer, Tyler and Tug packed up on Friday and headed out to join us. We had some drinks and a quick BBQ and headed to the next line up of performers... as you can see the rest of the weekend had a similar pattern. Wake up, eat, drink, eat, go to concerts, sleep... really rough vacation. It was great to see old friends but it was good to get back to reality. My stomach still hurts from all the laughter.
Enjoy the pictures!!!
I will be resting up until Emily comes to visit on Friday, can't wait!!!
The culprit
This morning was a little bit different. I took the day off to have one more PTO day before going back to work. The last few days have been filled with activity after activity and it has been nothing short of fun but exhausting. As I woke up and got moving, I noticed that Lucy wasn't in my bed. I went and found her snuggled up with Sam (not to weird since Sam has been watching her while I was out of town). Then I walked back to go to the bathroom and BAM, right in the middle of the living room floor....
an empty bag. Of course the day I get back from country thunder with ALL this extra food (food that I never usually buy), Lucy decides to enjoy a midnight snack. Hahaha what a sneaky little pup. I searched the condo for evidence of a sick puppy and so far we are in the clear. I guess we will be spending our day off crossing our fingers and relaxing with a tired puppy.

Staycation/Vacation
and I couldn't be more excited. There is nothing better than using a little hard earned PTO to have a mini spring break. I woke up early today to get a Pilates workout in and pack. Then Tommy and I are off to Country Thunder for a few days of friends, fun, music and relaxing. I can't wait to put on my boots and cowgirl hat and mosie on out. I was able to find my camera last night and it is charged and ready to go. Since I haven't posted my own pictures on the blog in awhile.
Lastly Kristin is having her baby boy Jackson today and I couldn't be more excited. Thinking of you and your family.

Just a little bit of fashion
Nothing better than doing a little browsing online after a fun yet exhausting Monday. I came across a few treasures that were just too cute not to show.
(the shoes are from coach and the watch and bracelets are from Nordstroms)
In the meantime I am getting ready for some much needed vacation time. Some of my friends and I are heading East on Thursday to a little place called Florence, AZ. We are spending 4 days attending one of the biggest country festivals in the nation and I couldn't be more excited to throw on my cowgirl hat and boots and enjoy some time away. Check out the line up here.... pretty neat.
Until then I am working away, getting organized and packed and waiting anxiously for a few new babies to be born.
I am thinking about Lynette and Tory Dyck (the due date is tomorrow) and cute little baby D!
Rachel and Luke Radel are expecting their little bambina, only 9 days after and....
Kristin and Nick couldn't be more excited to meet Jackson (but maybe Jaxon) on Thursday!!
Can't wait to meet them all!!! Please send pictures soon....
Loving mirrors
As I have been looking around for some decorating ideas, my bedroom is in need of some love and attention. While some of you might already know but I have a few mirror pieces in my living room and I just can't help but want to incorporate this into my bedroom/bathroom as well. Z Gallerie is mirror crazy and I couldn't have been more excited to look around and get my creative juices going.

Getting ready to be an Auntie
So I am expanding my horizons and trying something new... expanding my online browsing... after some window shopping after work today (don't worry mom I didn't buy anything) I found myself looking at Nordstroms for baby clothes... I mean look at all the cute stuff.
What is your favorite thing to shop for?
Run Forest Run
I've been trying to mentally prepare for the Pat Tillman run coming up in three weeks, since I almost died the last time I tried to run. Currently I can barely get myself to run yet alone to run 4.2 miles. While I figured pilates every other day would keep me in shape, last week I was rudely reminded that those two workouts are completely different. Emily will be in town that weekend visiting so we are now BOTH trying to get ready for the run and what better way to get ready than a cute outfit. I found the bottoms to the perfect Pat Tillman Run outfit, Thank you Lululemon!
